SpinGoal is 100% permitted for use on all major streaming platforms including Twitch, YouTube Live, Kick, TikTok Live, Facebook Gaming, and Rumble. This page explains how to get the most out of SpinGoal during your broadcasts, keep your audience engaged, and run giveaways that viewers trust.
Platform Permission
SpinGoal contains no copyrighted music, third-party media, or content that conflicts with the Terms of Service of any major streaming platform. You are fully permitted to display SpinGoal in full-screen or as a window capture in OBS Studio, Streamlabs, XSplit, or any other broadcast software.
The spinning wheel animation, sound effects, and all visual elements are original works owned by Nawify and are licensed for free use in streaming content.
Platform-Specific Tips
Recommended OBS Setup
- Window Capture — Add SpinGoal as a Window Capture source in OBS. Set the window to your browser displaying spingoal.live.
- Crop to Wheel Only — Use OBS's built-in crop/pad filter to show only the wheel canvas, removing the sidebar UI for a cleaner look.
- Browser Source (Alternative) — You can also add spingoal.live directly as a Browser Source. Set width/height to 900×900 for a square wheel embed.
- Audio — SpinGoal's tick sounds and winner chime will be captured by Desktop Audio in OBS automatically. No extra setup required.
- Scene Transition — Consider a dedicated "Giveaway Scene" that only shows the wheel, creating a clear visual moment for viewers.
Giveaway Best Practices
Running a fair, transparent giveaway builds trust with your audience and protects you from disputes. Follow these practices:
- Show entries before spinning — Always let viewers see the full list before you spin. SpinGoal shows all entries in the sidebar — share your screen so chat can verify.
- Disable Auto-Remove during streams — Turn off the "Auto-Remove Winner" setting so viewers can see the winner stay on screen after the spin. Toggle it back on for subsequent draws.
- Read the winner aloud — Announce the winner name clearly and give them 2-3 minutes to respond in chat before re-spinning for a new winner.
- Use weighted entries fairly — If using the Pro weighted entries feature (e.g., "Subscriber : 2"), disclose the odds difference to your audience before spinning.
- Record your spin session — Most streaming platforms auto-record VODs. Keep the recording accessible for 30 days after a giveaway in case a winner disputes the result.
- One entry per person — Duplicate entries increase a single viewer's effective probability. Either check for duplicates manually or use a single-entry-per-person rule communicated in advance.
Pro Tip: Use SpinGoal's Multiplayer feature to let a trusted moderator or co-streamer trigger the spin independently on their screen. This prevents accusations that you controlled the result.
Legal Compliance for Giveaways
Giveaway laws vary by country and platform. SpinGoal is a randomization tool — the legal responsibility for running a compliant giveaway lies with you, the streamer. Common requirements include:
- No purchase necessary — In most jurisdictions, requiring a subscription or payment to enter transforms a giveaway into an illegal lottery. Always allow free entry methods.
- Disclose the approximate retail value (ARV) — Required in the US and many EU countries for prizes valued over $25 / €25.
- Geographic restrictions — Some prizes (gift cards, digital codes) cannot be redeemed in certain countries. State eligible regions clearly.
- Age restrictions — Consult your local law if your prize is age-restricted (alcohol, M-rated games, etc.).
- Platform rules — Read Twitch's Giveaway Guidelines and YouTube's Contests Policy before running your event.
Viewer Engagement Tips
- Build suspense by holding the spin button longer — the Charged Spin feature increases spin force based on how long you hold. Use it dramatically!
- Play the "Elimination Round" game: start with all names on the wheel, spin to eliminate one entry each round, leaving one winner standing.
- Use multiple wheels in sequence — one to pick a game category, another to pick a challenge within that game, and a third to pick the viewer to play with you.
- Let chat vote on wheel entries via poll before spinning — this gives non-winners a sense of participation.
